My favourite It-Girl

 Si sente molto spesso parlare di It-Girls, ma per le poche profane che ancora non ne sono a conoscenza, chi sono e quali sono esattamente le caratteristiche che le distinguono dalle altre?
Ebbene,  vediamo innanzitutto di studiarne l'aspetto e l'habitat.
Si tratta essenzialmente di esemplari di sesso femminile, dotate di lunghe gambe e di aspetto molto gradevole. Generalmente possiamo ammirarle in contesti festosi, quali ad esempio première,o eventi mondani, e sono solite attraversare lunghi tappeti rossi, ambiente dove si trovano perfettamente a loro agio. Spesso vengono infastidite dai flash delle macchine fotografiche che avidamente cercano di immortalarle, e sentendosi defraudate della loro privacy, scagliano contro il malaugurato fotografo, un maschio di grossa stazza, atto a proteggere la conservazione della loro specie. Cio' che pero' le differenzia maggiormente dalle altre, è soprattutto il loro atteggiamento di eleganza inconsapevole. Se ad esempio un giorno decidono di uscire dalla loro tana con il piumaggio arruffato, il risultato è sempre notevole, riuscendo a distinguersi dal resto dello stormo per glamour e candida raffinatezza. L'esemplare piu' noto in questo momento è, senza dubbio, Gigi Hadid, che si è sempre accoppiata con maschi di elevata notorieta' quali, ad esempio, il rissoso Justin Bieber dal ciuffo ribelle, o Zayn Malik, conosciuto per aver tradito e abbandonato il suo branco di appartenenza.

Who is an It-Girl? What are her features? Well, for anybody who doesn' t know, we'll have to study her appearance and habitat.
She is usually a female gender sample, with long legs and a very pretty look. Generally we used to cherish her in party context, for example during social events, or at the première, and she usually walks along red carpets, where she is perfectly at ease. She is often bothered by the flashes of the cameras and, feeling overcharged of her privacy, she hurl abuse at the unlucky photographer, a big size male, to protect the preservation of her species. Her attitude of unconscious elegance, is what differs her with the other femals.
For example, if she decides to go out with ruffled feathers, the result is always perfect, being able to stand out by the rest of the flock for elegance and glamour. The most famous sample is, with no doubt, Gigi Hadid, who is always coupled with very famous males: the quarrelsome Justin Bieber by the rebel lock, or Zayn Malik, knowed for left and betrayed his membership to the herd.

 Ci sono poi le It-Girls appartenenti allo stesso ceppo familiare, Kylie e Kendall Jenner. Quest'ultime provengono da una famiglia dominante e sono molto apprezzate e stimate all'interno del loro ambiente naturale. Le loro mansioni sono ben distinte e atte a provocare sollazzo al piacere visivo, mentre posano con istrionici atteggiamenti, manifestando spigliatezza davanti agli obiettivi. Lo stesso non si puo' invece affermare delle sorelle maggiori, chiamate comunemente kardashian, delle quali non ci è ancora dato di sapere quale sia il loro ruolo nella societa'.

There are even It-Girls belonging to the same family, Kylie and Kendall Jenner. They derive from a dominant family and they are very appreciated between their natural environment. Their tasks are very clear, they have to give pleasure to the eyes that look the sister while they pose in front of the cameras, with self-confidence.
This is not the same thing when we talk about their oldest sister, the Kardashians. We don't know what is their role in the society.

Io, pero' voglio essere controcorrente, perchè la mia It-Girl preferita non viene piu' menzionata da quando si è accasata ed ha avuto un figlio- il prossimo è in arrivo-. Sto' parlando, ovviamente della bellissima Blake Lively. Ha tutte le carte in regola, una bellezza spontanea, gambe kilometriche, ed un'innata propensione all'eleganza ed al savoir-faire. La adoro. I absolutely want to go against the grain, because my favourite It-Girl is mentioned no more since she get married and had a son-another one is about to arrive-. I'm talking about the beautiful Blake Lively. She has what it takes, a genuine beauty, very long legs, and a genetic inclination for elegance and savoir-faire. I love her. XoS.

Valentino Haute Couture

 Io solitamente parlo di me come di un' inguaribile romanticona, una sognatrice legata ai ricordi del passato. Cosi', quando vedo una sfilata come quella che hanno portato in passerella Maria Grazia Chiuri e Pierpaolo Piccioli per Valentino, il mio entusiasmo va' alle stelle. L'epoca e' quella delle dame, i cavallier, l'arme, gli amori, tipica del 1500, dominata dalla moda castellana del tardo Medioevo. Molte sono le assonanze con i tipici costumi di un grande drammaturgo del tempo, William Shakespeare.
Una Lady Oscar in chiave moderna, con tanto di stivali neri da membro della gendarmeria e morbide camicie bianche con volant e gorgiere. Per poi passare alla leggerezza dei tessuti degli abiti lunghi, quasi a ricordare le vesti intime con le quali le dame cinquecentesche erano solite ritirarsi nei propri boidoir. In contrapposizione a quelli grevi, pesanti dai tessuti in organza e broccato, ad irrigidire e, nel contempo ad addolcire, forme e postura. E poi non puo' certo far sentire la sua mancanza il red Valentino, sfolgorato in un gran finale da una voluminosa e sontuosa cappa che, al suo passaggio, avvolge la passerella.
Questa e' stata la sfilata di commiato di Maria Grazia Chiuri da Valentino, che attualmente e' stata nominata primo direttore creativo donna di Christian Dior, e alla quale auguro un grande in bocca al lupo. XoS.

I usually talk about me like an hopeless romantic, a dreamer who lives in the past. So, when i see the Valentino runway show, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, i inflame myself. This is the epoch of ladies, knights and arms, typical of 500's, characterized by the castle fashion of the Middle Ages. Many are the agreements with the typical costumes of a great playwright, William Shakespeare.
A modern Lady Oscar, with black military boots and soft, white shirts, with frills and ruffs. And the lightness of the night gowns textiles, that remember the underwear of the past dames. In contrast with the heavy textiles of organza and brocade, that make the silhouette and the posture, harsher.
Then, it can not miss the usual red Valentino, that makes its appearance in the final of the runway show, with a voluminous and lavish cape that cover all the catwalk.
This was the last Valentino runway show for Maria Grazia Chiuri, who is recently been nominated the first female creative director for Christian Dior. I wish you good luck! XoS.

Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Paris

 Sono perdutamente ed irrimediabilmente persa per la collezione Haute Couture di Giambattista Valli.
Gli abitini corti anni '60, impreziositi da balze di chiffon, tulle e cristalli, con maniche a sbuffo in taffetas; e le cappe in organza; e gli abiti lunghi, morbidi a sfiorare le linee del corpo, plissettati e arricciati, quasi a rappresentare la donna come una vera e propria Dea greca. Un vero tripudio per la gioia degli occhi. Fino a che, con gli abiti da sposa, ho avuto il definitivo colpo di grazia. Metri e metri di tulle-perchè si sa', il tulle non è mai abbastanza, quando l'abito deve vestire una sposa- che avvolgono la silhouette in maniera sfrontata ed esagerata. D'altronde, se non si osa in quel giorno, allora quando?  Non voglio neanche conoscere la donna che non vorrebbe sposare indossando tali opere d'arte. Pochi discorsi, ve le mostro. Xos.

I am desperately in love with the Haute Couture collection of Giambattista Valli.
The short 60' s dresses, embellished by chiffon and tulle flounces, with cristals and puffed sleeves in taffetas; and the organza capes; and the long dresses, soft and light, pleated and curly, to represent women like Greek Goddess. A real pleasure for eyes. Until, with the bridal gowns, i have had the final blow. Meters and meters of tulle-because, we know, tulle is never enough for a bridal gown- that envelop the woman silhouette in an impudent and exaggerated way. However, if you don' t hazard in that day, so when? I don' t even know the woman who wouldn' t wear these artworks. Now stop with the words, i show you. XoS.
