 Sono perdutamente ed irrimediabilmente persa per la collezione Haute Couture di Giambattista Valli.
Gli abitini corti anni '60, impreziositi da balze di chiffon, tulle e cristalli, con maniche a sbuffo in taffetas; e le cappe in organza; e gli abiti lunghi, morbidi a sfiorare le linee del corpo, plissettati e arricciati, quasi a rappresentare la donna come una vera e propria Dea greca. Un vero tripudio per la gioia degli occhi. Fino a che, con gli abiti da sposa, ho avuto il definitivo colpo di grazia. Metri e metri di tulle-perchè si sa', il tulle non è mai abbastanza, quando l'abito deve vestire una sposa- che avvolgono la silhouette in maniera sfrontata ed esagerata. D'altronde, se non si osa in quel giorno, allora quando?  Non voglio neanche conoscere la donna che non vorrebbe sposare indossando tali opere d'arte. Pochi discorsi, ve le mostro. Xos.

I am desperately in love with the Haute Couture collection of Giambattista Valli.
The short 60' s dresses, embellished by chiffon and tulle flounces, with cristals and puffed sleeves in taffetas; and the organza capes; and the long dresses, soft and light, pleated and curly, to represent women like Greek Goddess. A real pleasure for eyes. Until, with the bridal gowns, i have had the final blow. Meters and meters of tulle-because, we know, tulle is never enough for a bridal gown- that envelop the woman silhouette in an impudent and exaggerated way. However, if you don' t hazard in that day, so when? I don' t even know the woman who wouldn' t wear these artworks. Now stop with the words, i show you. XoS.

Ho il piacere e privilegio di condividere con voi la preziosita'  delle linee e dei tessuti della sfilata che si è svolta ieri, nei saloni della Maison Dior, in avenue Montaigne, Parigi.XoS.

Eleganza sotto il sole

 In tutti questi anni le proposte del beachwear sono state, a dir poco, imbarazzanti, ma sembra che la storia stia finalmente cambiando. Abbiamo abbandonato l'idea per cui less is more. I costumi tornano a fare moda sulle spiagge o a bordo piscina, donando grazia ed eleganza alle sinuosita' di un bel corpo. Perchè lo vestono, non lo mercificano. Che dire delle sexy culotte anni '50? Non le preferite a quegli orrendi tanga o perizomi che tanto ci inorridivano quando ancora venivano indossati soltanto dalle brasiliane? Il piattume e la banalita' di veder sempre gli stessi modelli, ha lasciato posto alla stravaganza di osare, creando - perchè no- innovativi top a maniche lunghe. Lo so' che questi modelli muoveranno non poche critiche, ma io li promuovo a pieni voti. D'altronde che c'è di nuovo per noi donne? Siamo talmente abituate a soffrire, vuoi perchè dobbiamo camminare su scomodissimi e vertiginosi tacchi, vuoi per qualche doloroso "ritocchino".. per non stare a parlare poi delle gravidanze e relativi parti!
Quindi, mie care signore, viva l'eleganza anche sotto il sole. XoS.

During all these years, beachwear proposals were embarassing, but this summer the situation is changed. We finally abandoned the idea that less is more. Swimsuit come back to be fashionable on the beaches, or at the swimming-pool, giving elegance to the body.
What do you think about  50's sexy culottes? Don't you prefer it to an ordinary thong or a g-string, that in the past we were orrified to see worn by Brazilian women?
The passed triviality to see always the same swimsuits, have given way to the eccentricity to hazard, creating- why not- innovating top with long sleeves. I know that this newness will cause criticism, but, personally, i  promote with flying colors. However, we are women, we are used to suffer for everything, high heels, cosmetic surgery..and we haven' t to leave out pregnancies and related births!
So, my dear ladies, cheers to the elegance, even under the sun. XoS.
